Andrew Lawrence
Development Director
Andrew has experience in supporting IT in a range of industry sectors. On
leaving university he worked in various IT support roles for companies such
as ICL. In 1994 he became Manager of Information Technology Systems for a
Further and Higher Education College. In this role, he designed, implemented
and supported an NT network used by over 2000 users. He also introduced email
and Internet facilities into the College, wrote databases to meet the needs
of personnel and administrative staff and devised technical strategies to
accomplish strategic management objectives. Over seven years, Andrew developed
the IT infrastructure within the college which has allowed it to move forward
with educational technology and support a whole range of high-tech media and
technology products.
In 1999, Andrew became Systems and Networks Manager for Interactive Products Ltd, a software house, where he managed and supported the company network and provided technical expertise to the company. During his time with Interactive Products, Andrew expanded the portfolio of services by providing IT consultancy and network services to the customer base.
Stuart Read
Commercial Director
Stuart joined Sandhurst Marketing, an Office Supplies company, in 1986 as
a Contract Administrator for key accounts. He transferred to the Purchasing
Department in 1988, and in 1989 joined with three other colleagues to form
European Stationers Plc, whose annual turnover reached £13 million by
the time it was bought by Lyreco in 1997. Stuart's responsibility was mainly
to implement the administrative systems of each department and for the development
of the company computer system and network. Over nine years, Stuart became
the Systems/IT Manager for both European Stationers and European Print Division,
developing a wide knowledge of both administrative and computerised systems
for a company that became one of the largest UK independent Office Supplies
dealers. In 1998, Stuart joined Office Equations Ltd, a newly formed company
needing IT implementation and commercial procedures to cope with fast growth
and high service levels. In more recent years, Stuart has worked for Interactive
Products Ltd, a company selling their back office system "Progress"
to over 300 Office Supply companies. His key tasks were to provide commercial
and technical advice on the use of the software to the users within the UK.
